Converted from the stables of a 19th century farmhouse, Welltown has beautiful views over fields, wooded hills and valleys. The area is ideal for those seeking to escape from crowds, while still being within easy reach of local villages, towns and both coasts. The locality abounds with public footpaths and winding lanes and the Moor offers attractive walking and solitude. The numerous beaches and fishing villages of the north and south coasts are within 30 minutes drive. There are many glorious gardens and historic houses like Lanhydrock, as well as The Eden Project within easy reach.
Welltown is situated on a quiet country lane with safe parking. The centrally heated cottage is approached from a courtyard into a light and well-equipped kitchen/dining area. Old pine dining furniture is complemented by fitted units, an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. A tumble dryer is available across the courtyard. The comfortable lounge has a flatscreen TV, freeview, DVD, video and log effect fire in addition to radiators. Ample literature, walk books and maps, as well as novels and DVD's are available for you to browse through at your leisure. French doors open out onto the private patio area which has garden seating and a gas barbecue. Stairs from the kitchen lead up to a landing, a double bedroom, a bathroom with WC,handbasin and a shower over the bath. At the back of the cottage is a twin bedded room with lovely views over the fields and wooded hills. All beds have duvets and linen and towels are provided.
Visitors are welcome to walk in the two fields that adjoin the property if there are no animals in them. Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.
