Nuthatch Lodge

Nuthatch KitchenNuthatch Sitting

Nuthatch Lodge is hidden in the lush woodland of the Glynn Valley, in Cornwall, on the edge of Bodmin Moor and midway between Bodmin and Liskeard, at Twowatersfoot. The Lodge is set in the owner's large and secluded garden of over an acre, and offers 4 star comfort and tranquillity for a couple seeking a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for their self catering holiday.

Nuthatch is a spacious and luxurious timber-clad lodge, built in 2004 to residential specifications. The open plan style has full central heating, so it is suitable for a holiday or break in any season. The kitchen is fully equipped and the comfortable sitting room has spectacular views from the French doors over the private garden area to the valley beyond. The pretty bedroom has a five foot double bed and a luxury en-suite shower room, with radiators in both rooms. Outside the private patio decking has furniture and barbecue facilities.

The facilities include:

Microwave, built-in oven, hob, fridge with freezer compartment.

Electricity, gas (central heating), linen and towels included. Please bring your own beach towels.

We have a private water supply from a well, which is tested and approved.

Vaulted ceilings, pinewood flooring. Digital TV with DVD and CD/radio plus a small library of DVDs & CDs.

Local shops in Bodmin, Liskeard and Lostwithiel. Trago Mills is about 2 miles.

Parking is next to the Lodge, and the nearest public transport is Bodmin Parkway railway station, approximately 3 miles away.

We regret we are unable to accept dogs or pets, and Nuthatch Lodge is non-smoking accommodation.

A basket of supplies including tea and coffee, with a bottle of wine and fresh flowers welcomes you to the Lodge.

With stunning views across the valley from the private decking and lodge garden, you may be fortunate enough to spot the wild deer roaming along the horizon. The buzzards soar above, while the nuthatches, finches and woodpeckers feast nearby. A walk through the local broad leaf and pine woodlands or up on Bodmin Moor itself offers further opportunities to capture a glimpse of the abundant local wildlife.

Its central situation makes Nuthatch Lodge an ideal base for exploring some of Cornwall's well known beauty spots and attractions. Located in the Glynn Valley, next to the River Fowey and off the A38 between Bodmin and Liskeard, from here you can reach the north or south coasts within half an hour, venture up to the wilds of Bodmin Moor, or visit one of the many local places of interest, such as The Eden Project and many delightful gardens and National Trust properties. Game and coarse fishing lakes are nearby or fishing may be available on the River Fowey.
