Unique country park, near Launceston, Cornwall comprising two miniature railways; A 7.25 inch gauge passenger carrying miniature railway and a large garden railway. Trains run daily, some days are steam hauled. This year we have added a tunnel. The main adventures though are focused around the Crystal Challenges. Aimed at all round family fun, three trails of clues are set before you. The aim is to find the three cyrstals at the end. Exciting and addictive, these three trails can take up to 2 hours to complete. Once all the crystals have been found, you may then enter the grand finale, the Vault. Inside within a time limit, you must try and complete as many of the tasks as you can. Great fun and for those that complete it, a real George VI silver sixpence is awarded. Other attractions on site, include a beech hedge maze and Oak tree farm, which contains a working waterwheel, pigs, sheep, ducks etc. Also the fountain ruin situated in the main entrance is great fun for those of you that want to get a little wet, although the object is in fact to stay dry! Visitors can explore the valley itself and discover a beautiful lake, or relax in our tea room, serving a wide range of light meals, cakes and drinks. A gift shop stocks various puzzles, railway stock, souvenirs, rocks and gems.
