This delightful welcoming 4 star B&B is nestled in the beautiful Glynn Valley on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor and twixt Liskeard and Bodmin. The house is centrally located which makes it ideally suited for exploring all of Cornwall and West Devon, including both north and south coasts, The Eden Project is just 13 miles and many National Trust Houses are nearby, such as Lanhydrock, Cotele and Pencarrow, to mention but a few.
The house is situated up from The Halfway House, a conveniently situated public house which serves typical pub food. along a quiet short lane with just 5 houses, which runs some 200 metres paralell with the trunk road A38. We are the last house lying in some 12 acres of woodland with frontage to the River Fowey which runs east/west some 200 matres below the outlook. The boundary of the dwelling is 800 metres downstream where the River Warleggan running north/south, joins the Fowey. There is a bridleway which runs up the lane and through our land giving a beautiful riverside walk along part of the Fowey and beyond.
All Gillwood rooms are en suite and offer cosy comfortable facilities with a substantial breakfast in the morning and the opportunity to walk off those unwelcome, but tasty extra calories. Well-behaved pets are welcome in our downstairs bedroom which is popular, so book early!
Many regular returning guests are a testament to the quality of the B&B and Sheila and Cliff look forward to pampering you during your future relaxing and well deserved stay.
